Sometimes you just have to go with the flow Just let your legs take you away Then watch where you end up You just might make a friend all you have to do is say hi ═══════ Waking up this morning she found herself going for a walk after she had a meal. She had caught a deer earlier this morning not being able to catch anything larger then that. She was not a part of a pack so anything bigger then a deer would mean trouble for her. She was not about to do something that would end her life when it came to hunting for a nice meal. After she had filled her stomach to its content she decided she needed to explore. She was aware where the borders for the packs laid. She did not dare try to cross them. She learned her lesson once when she wanted to find a new friend and it ended up with some nasty wolves snapping their jaws at her for getting to close. Nope she was not going to make that mistake twice. Instead she was going to simply resort to befriending wolves within neutral territory. Much safer for her there then in a packs territory. They simply were not friendly then.
She almost shivered with delight at seeing the water wash up along the shore lines of this place she heard was called Diamond Beach. She had only been here once before and as she stared at the beautiful sand and crashing waves against the shoreline, she has to wonder why she simply does not come here more often. Maybe she should find some place to sleep here. Of course some place where the waves won't reach her. She does not mind getting wet but she prefers while she is asleep that she can keep herself rather dry. Nothing is worse then waking up shivering because a certain someone forgot to find some place dry from the weather.
Happy barks escaped her lips as she ran towards the waves wanting to play. She rarely had others to play with so she often had to play with what ever was handy for her. She laughed as she chased the waves before turning sharply to run away as the tide came back in along the shore. She did this for a few more rounds before she bounded back far enough the water can not reach her. Whipping around so she was facing the raging waves she wagged her tail happily as she crouched low to the ground as if she was stalking some kind of prey. As the tide came in once more she pounced as she splashed around in the shallow water. Her tail moved from side to side as she got more excited.
Suddenly the sound splashing that was not her own doing. She stopped in her tracks as her ears perked forward. She listened for the splash sounds to happen again. This time she was able to pin point where the sound was coming from. Off in the distance her eyes spotted a fish that had washed up and now bouncing up and down trying to get back into the water. Her muscles tensed as she crouched low to the ground creeping over towards where the fish was flaying about. Her face was held firm as she concentrated on reach the scaly creature. As she was a about a meter away she used the muscles in her hind likes to propel herself forward. Using her front paws she attempted to hold the fish down in place.
She whimpered as the fish slipped out from under her paws and started to flip around. "Stay still," she whined as she chased after the fish. This time when she pounced on it she was able to keep it still enough as it was growing tired of moving. Very carefully she pushed it forward in till the tide could take it away again. She wagged her tail slowly as she glanced out towards the horizon just enjoying the view. It was such a beautiful sight. She really wondered how it looked under the moonlight. Now that certainly was going to be a sight. It was decided she will spend her evening some place along here. Now if only she can find some place where she can stay hidden as well. Shores don't make great hiding. As she glanced around she suddenly got a strange feeling that she was not alone. The fur on her back stood as she tried to pin point the source of her discomfort. "Hello" she called as she spun around looking every which way. "Anyone out there?" she barked. ═══════ tags► Zombie mood► Content, playful, and curious words► to be counted Ʀiddle Thoughts► yay first post, hope it works

Birdsong filled the air as a ghostly figure came to life, moving stiffly as large jaws opened, a low whining sound as a yawn ended. His remarkably pink tongue licked his onyx nose as brown eyes searched about. It was another cold morning for Zombie. He sighed as he closed his eyes, his muzzle dipping toward the ground. He was still alone, nobody for him to protect, and nobody to love him. The beast sighed as he stood up on stiff joints, stretching each leg in turn and then shaking his snowy coat. He looked around, his ears flicking back and fourth for any noises. He scented the air before finally moving. Zombie's long legs carried him slowly through the forest as the brute enjoyed the scenery. Suddenly, his paws started to sink. Snapping back to the real world, Zombie jumped back, sending his 'attacker' flying in all directions. His sides heaved as he looked in front of him as a beach line stretched to both sides of him. He sighed with relief as he looked around. A voice reached his ears at that moment. 'Hello? Anyone out there?' Zombie's blood chilled as he searched for the owner of the feminine voice. Zombie spotted her quickly further down the beach. He padded forward to get a better look. She was almost as big as him! Instinct drove Zombie as he turned sharply to the left and sprinted away from the female. He wasn't usually this jumpy, but just yesterday he had spotted an old friend, Shadow, and she would have killed him if he hadn't gotten away. He had some wounds on his face from her. He shuddered as he ran a little faster, the breeze blasting against his face, pressing his ears back, and whipping through his fur. He squinted his eyes as he tripped over his paws and tumbled forward, flopping onto his side and just laying there, eyes closed, sides heaving. His right front ankle ached terribly as he let the cold, morning sand take his shape.

Sometimes you just have to go with the flow Just let your legs take you away Then watch where you end up You just might make a friend all you have to do is say hi ═══════ She could have sworn she heard something moving some where around this beautiful beach. Her ears flattened against her head as disappointment settled in. Maybe she was mistaken? Had she finally actually gone insane with being on her own all the time? She shook her head refusing to believe that. She was still at the top of her game. She still had an young mind not an old one. She almost gave up on searching when her blue orbs spotted someone in the distance. Instantly her face lit up as her ears perked forward. Her tail wagged as she was about to call out to the other wolf but it would appear they turned around. Now they were heading in the wrong direction as her? Did they not want to be her friend? She did not see anyone else around them so maybe they were a lone wolf as well. Safira contemplated why the other wolf had just ran away and the only decision to the reason she could come up with was simply that the other wolf wanted to play some sort of game.
If its a game they want then its a game Safira will play. Quickly the she wolf used her powerful muscles to move her slim body along the sandy ground. It was a little harder for her to get up to her full speed as her paws continued to sink into the sand. Not great for traction this beach. She will have to make a note of that for if she is trying to flew from an angry wolf. Returning her attention to her task at hand she reached the point where she saw the other wolf start to take off. Sniffing along the ground she wagged her tail happily enjoying this little game. She caught the scent she was looking for and began her chase once again. She almost frowned seeing that she caught up to the other wolf already. She slowed to a stop as she stared at the white form laying on the ground. Now why would he be just laying there when they were playing chase?
She took this time to observe him. She noticed his beautiful white fur that had small little mixtures of grey in some spots. He was larger then herself but she still had some size on him. If he turned out to be another meanie she can at least hope to hold her own in till she could get away. The scars located along his muscled form told her that he was no shy wolf from a few fights in his life time. She quickly moved so she was standing in front of his face. She moved softly as she laid completely down on her stomach. She rest her head on top of her front paws as she waited for him to just jump up and continue to play. She wagged her tail slowly as she waited with as much patience as she could muster up before she moved a little closer. She poked her nose against his lightly before she back up again. "You aren't very good at this game are you?" she asked as she tilt her head to the side slightly.
She took note of his heavy breathing. She judged that was because he was running like herself but something was off. It was not the heavy breathing one made when they were running. No it was slightly hesitant like that if you trying to fight back pain or something. Startled she quickly stood up all sense of play leaving her entirely. "You alright?" she asked. She was concerned. Her new friend could not possibly be hurt could he? Creepy forward she tried to locate where any injury might be. She was not thinking of the fact she left herself vulnerable for an attack. She did not worry for such things when it came to other wolves. The only time she might feel guarded was if some wolf was out right snarling at her. Not laying on the ground like he was almost sleeping. ═══════ tags► Zombie mood► Content, concerned, and curious words► 681 Ʀiddle Thoughts► -----

Zombie remained mute as she padded up to him, laying down, and touched his nose. He pulled his head back a little when she did this. Why was she being so... Zombie didn't even know the word, but this female wasn't cautious at all. He was confused by her actions. She seemed so unaware of the danger that Zombie could easily shock her with an attack and kill her before she knew what was going on. He decided he would give her this scare. The large brute was on his feet in one, swift movement, rearing on his back legs and slamming his forepaws against her side. He threw her to the ground, one paw on her shoulder the other on her neck. He bared his teeth, hackles raising, as he put his bared fangs quite near her muzzle. "You shouldn't be so comfortable around strangers, much less chase them. I could easily kill you now. Afterall, how do you I know I am not an enemy? How do you know I am not aggressive, that I am not blood thirsty like some wolves?" After he said that last question, Zombie thought of Shadow again. He supressed a shiver at the thought of that blood-loving female. She was smaller than him, but she had one hell of an attitude and could probably kill any wolf, no matter the size, if she put her mind to it. He turned his attention back to the present and released the female. "Get up. Now." He growled, lowering his lips and letting his hackles fall. Zombie kept his ears back, and his tail a little higher than down. His amber eyes were stern with warning and secrecy. He circled the female, eyeing her suspiciously, and sniffed at her once or twice. He sat in front of her, his eyes narrowed. He wasn't usually so aggressive, but Zombie knew this female could be working for Shadow, getting his location so that witch of a wolf could get her paws on Zombie and kill him. He shook his head to clear his thoughts. Am I becoming paranoid? He asked himself in thought.

It was strange how this male wolf was not moving much more then his head when she had pushed their noses together. She had grown concerned about him as she moved closer to inspect to ensure there were no injuries. That seemed to have been a mistake. She gasped in surprise as the larger wolf sprain up on his hind legs faster then she could comprehend. For a large wolf he sure could move rather quickly. She did not have enough time to move out of the way as she felt his paws against her side causing her to fall onto her side. Her ears laid flat against her head as she whimpered softly under his paws. Her tail had curled in between her hind legs as she stared up at him from the corner of her eyes. Had she been too careless once again? There were times before wolves gave her warning about other wolves. Maybe he was a pack wolf out on a stroll? They were always the nasty aggressive ones in her experience.
She closed her eyes waiting for the snap of his jaws as he brought his snarling muzzle closer to her face. She prepared for the pain she was about to feel. She should not have follow this one. She had been wrong about him. He was no friend. She slowly opened her blue eyes slowly hearing his voice instead of feeling fangs. She just whimpered again as he lectured her about strangers. Safira was frightened. She did not know what to do. She was no fighting wolf. She usually found herself running should any wolf feel the need to turn aggressive on her. It seemed an eternity before the brute moved off of her ordering her to get up. He certainly did not have to tell her twice. Once on her feet she took not defensive stand as the white wolf circled around her as if inspecting her. She kept her head down low along with her tail as he took a more dominant stance indicated by his own raised tail. She was not going to take any chances and threaten his authority.
"Please... I do not mean any harm," Safira said. She was trying to ease the tense male in front of her. He clearly did not trust her but if he was really bad he would have just snapped his jaws against her flesh. Not give her a warning before letting her stand. "I'm sorry I was just so happy to see another wolf," Safira now started to try and explain herself. She swallowed hard as she felt very nervous with this new situation. She was trying hard to figure out if he was friend or not. A friend would warn her if it was to teach her something of her own good. An enemy would have hurt her by now. She was glad he no long was baring teeth and let his hackle fall. Maybe he was becoming a little more comfortable. She wagged her tail from side to side slightly before she reminded herself this wolf had just pinned her to the ground.
"I don't count others as an enemy from the moment I see them. It's not right to snarl before at least talking to the other," Safira explained. She did not see the evil in this world. She refused to accept that fact. She hated the idea of thinking there are wolves out there who will just be mean for the sake of it. She preferred to give the other the benefit of the doubt. "I thought maybe I could make a new friend..." Safira stared before she laid down on the ground. She was trying to show that she was no threat to him. Maybe ease him a little bit. "I don't mean to make enemies," she added softly as her ears laid flat against her head. [color=520052 ]"You don't want to be enemies do you?" she asked hopeful the answer is no.

She whimpered as she declared she hadn't meant any harm. His gaze softened. "I know, but not every wolf is kind like I am. There are some wolves who would do what I just did, but wouldn't let you go... alive." Zombie sighed. Did she just say she wanted to make a new friend? Didn't she have friends? Zombie tilted his head slightly to the side. He righted his head after she said she didn't want to make enemies. "Only cold-hearted wolves wish to make enemies. Others do, but do not mean to. I am not an enemy, be assured." He was about to start speaking again when she asked if he wanted to make enemies. "I am a peaceful wolf, preferring to be on my own rather than with groups of others. One or two I will tolerate to be around me. But again, I do not want to make enemies. I just do..." He sighed, closing his eyes thoughtfully as his mind swirled back to Shadow. She had once been a great wolf, a good friend and one anyone could trust. Then one day, something clicked and she killed anyone she wanted. Zombie topped the list and he didn't know why. Shadow and Zombie had been the best of friends, then one day she tried to kill him.
Not much of a post. Sorry.

So he was nice. He just admitted that he was nice. Maybe he was a friend after all not an possible enemy. This made Safira happy as she wagged her tail from side to side again. "So you didn't want to hurt me," she barked as she perked her head up. Good then he was just trying to teach her about other wolves that were mean. At least that was what he was explaining to her right now as she tilt her head to the side slightly. Oh yes she called those wolves the nasty ones. She always found some way to run away from them. She did not take her chances around a mean wolf. Alright after she finds out they are a mean wolf she will not take any more chances.
Safira laid her ears back in confusion. "Don't you get lonely always being by yourself? I find it hard sometimes to find games to play always being on my own," Safira said as she slowly stood back up onto her four paws. She knew she hated being on her own all the time. That was why she liked making friends. That way she did not have to be alone all the time. She could go visit one of her friends. She tried making friends with the squirrels once but they just threw acorns at her before chattering away to one another. "A wolf belongs in a pack with their comrades," Safira said sadly. She wished she had joined one. Well at least was a part of one.
Safira thought for a few seconds trying to decide on why Zombie just made enemies. Minus the fact he had just moments ago pounced on her pinning her to the ground. That usually was not a good way in trying to befriend someone. Her blue eyes then focused on the scares that were located all along his body. "You can try saying hello. Maybe that will make others less likely to mark you as an enemy right away," Safira said softly. She knew that was always how she felt. It was why she greeted other wolves. Try to ease the tension of a strange wolf. Well that did not seem to work with this wolf in front of her who appeared to be lost in his own thoughts.
"Oh I know lets start over," Safira quickly suggested. She jumped up and down a couple of times as her excitement started to take over. Maybe she could maybe make a new friend. "Hello, I'm Safira," she introduced herself. She wagged her tail happily. She hoped he wouldn't turn around and run away this time. She would give chase again but this time she will be a little more careful with moving closer to him. "What's your name?" she was curious. This strange wolf that pounced on her then claimed not to be aggressive was strange to her.
"Maybe we can be friends? Oh I can use someone to play with. Chasing waves can only last so long before boredom sets in. Do you know any fun games we can play? We can play every day too. Oh won't that be fun," Safira said starting to ramble off on her own. She was letting her mind get ahead of her. They had not even formed any kind of grounds for friendship. This male wolf appeared to be very cautious about her. Not to mention he showed that he had more strength then she did. But that was not crossing her mind at all.
